Introducing.... Bella Elise!!!!

We are so thrilled to be on this journey to China and our sweet daughter Bella!

Our journey to Bella has not been easy.  We first heard about Bella in April.  We quickly fell in love with her sweet smile and her gentle spirit.  Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were not able to proceed with adopting her at that time.  We thought of her and prayed for her often over the summer months.  And in August, we were given another opportunity to ask China for permission to bring her home to our family.  We received Pre-Approval (PA) on August 17th and have been busy with paperwork ever since!

Bella was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.  She has worked really hard and is overcoming these extra challenges with the amazing love and care given to her by the angels who run the Starfish Foster Home.  They literally saved her life and continue to nurture her and love her until we can go and bring her home.

We can not WAIT to hold her, kiss her sweet cheeks and welcome her home to her forever family!

  1. she is adorable! I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you about our foundation
    "The asher Foundation"
    theasherfoundation.org.

we are just called "asher bracelets" on Facebook.
it all started after my nephew was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus. We do a lot with babies and kids with hydro, and I wanted to connect with you. My nephew is 18 months now and a complete miracle and joy! My sister is always open to talking to mommas of hydro babies, so feel free to contact us. God bless!

  3. I found your blog following a couple of links. I am so happy to see that Bella has a family coming for her! The topic of adoption has been heavy on my heart since May but we are not in a position to adopt right now. I had Bella on my "list" on Reeces Rainbow, and have been praying for her, for a family to call her own since it wasnt likley it would be us. We will be praying for you and her as you continue through this process!
